San Diego Family Portraits Session

One of the services that are included in my newborn sessions is professional hair and makeup for moms. And I’m so happy I found a very talented artist Natalia. Before sessions, we usually chat with her and we find a lot of things in common.

When it was time for her family to do their fall portraits she hired me for it and I was really flattered and happy to create portraits for her family. I absolutely loved the dynamic in their family. Two adults kids and one preteen – it felt like they are all friends, not just parents and kids. It was interesting to take a glimpse of how life can be when your kids are not little anymore. And after hearing a lot of horror stories about teenagers being teenagers with their moodiness and other fun stuff, I was pleasantly relieved that adults/teenage kids can actually be fun.

I loved to help this family with outfit suggestions, and it is always great to see that the family takes the “outfit” aspect of the photoshoot seriously and puts some effort into coordinating family outfits, trust me this usually pays off.

This family portraits session took place in Los Penasquitos Canyon. Love the fall colors in that location which is not typical in San Diego.
