Baby Lucas 4 days old.

As baby photographer I get to photograph newborn babies before they turn 14 days old, and baby Lucas was probably the youngest baby I’ve ever photographed.
When I first got an inquiry from mom and we chatted a little about the session and baby coming soon, I thought to myself “oh wow it’s so easy to talk to this woman, that I feel like I know her already for a long time”.
Some time later I met Patricia in person for a our pre consultation. I was so impressed with her exotic beauty! It was so amazing how easy our conversation was flowing and I after I left I was really looking forward to meeting her baby boy and her daughter.
Couple weeks later, baby Lucas arrived into this world.
Patricia and her family came to my home studio and I just fell in love with their adorable kids!
Wes started a session with some wrapping to make sure baby Lucas get’s warm and snuggly and falls asleep deeply. Well, at 4 days old we were not expecting him to be awake at all.
When I know that there is going to be a older sibling during the session, it makes me a little nervous, because it’s a huge transition for every sibling and nobody knows how they are going to react on a new addition in the family. But as can be seen, big and very proud sister Luciana 4,5 years old, was so cooperative and she just loved to snuggle with her baby brother.
Besides the cutest little baby brother in her hands, can I just mention really quick her hair! I’m just sitting here feeling so jealous about this gorgeous curly hair! <3
For some reason, this “potato sack” pose is happened to be parent’s favorite pose. And those wool wraps work just the best for this pose. (Please see a list of vendors in the end of the blog, if you want to know where I got them from).
And this family images are probably my favorite from the whole session. There is so much love, emotions and connection on them.
Did I mention how beautiful this mom is? I just can’t get over the fact how much emotions a woman gets in her eyes when holing her newborn baby.
I love getting some macro shots during the session. Besides, this squishy pose allows to show not only baby rolls, but also delicious baby lips as well. And this macro image of baby Lucas’s lips was features couple times on my IG account and got almost 2000 “hearts” on one of the photo blogs.
What images parents usually love the most? Of course sibling images. It’s such a huge and important transition in every family and for every older sibling. And I was so happy to capture these precious moments for this family.
Hope you enjoyed this blog. Your feedback and shares are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
